hi, i'm ali
framing, but this time it's me

i’m not the most outspoken person, and i’ve never been great at expressing myself. honestly, i don’t always know how — i’m still learning, but when i’m behind the camera, there’s no overthinking. photography became my way of communicating what i sometimes struggle to put into words. it’s a way to freeze a feeling, a fleeting moment, or the quiet beauty in someone just being themselves.
especially those.
i wear a necklace engraved with the word “appreciation,” but it’s more than just a word. it’s a value i try to live by. that sense of appreciation for people, for where they are in their journey, and for the moments they might not always recognize in themselves. that is what i try to reflect through my lens.
i hope to help people appreciate their own story. sometimes softer. sometimes bolder.
always honest.

a quiet reason
⟡
i didn’t always carry a camera. for a long time, i didn’t think much about capturing moments. but there came a point when someone i cared about was no longer around, and everything shifted.
ali, my late best friend, was like a brother. and when he was gone, i realized how few photos i had of us. how few moments i could return to.
i picked up a camera to hold onto the moments i never wanted to lose again, and to help others hold onto theirs. not just the milestones, but the quiet, meaningful in-betweens too.
this part of my journey is quietly for him.
and in many ways, it’s where my story began.
